Kindled Tahini
Kindled Tahini (#EDAB20) is a true amber with a neon character. It sits at the high-saturation edge of its family. Use it sparingly, as signage, accent, or highlight against darker surfaces. Its HSL profile (41°, 85%, 53%) places it in the highly saturated band at a mid lightness. Best used in small doses, like logos, CTAs, focus rings, or highlight text, where its saturation becomes a feature rather than noise. Old Norse kynda, to set on fire — past-participle of kindle. As a color modifier, kindled implies a saturated-and-newly-lit quality, the bright color of autumn-bonfire-and-stove-fire initial-combustion emission. Sits at the bright-and-warm end of the grid, parallel to ignited and aflame in usage.
The Levantine sesame-seed paste — ground roasted sesame, the foundation of baba ganoush, halva, and many Middle Eastern sauces. The color refers to fresh-stirred tahini in a small bowl: a soft, slightly warm cream-tan with the slightly oily matte finish of ground oilseed.
