Washed Kona
Washed Kona (#DCFDE4) is a soft green with a pastel character. It reads calm and airy, with enough chroma to feel intentional rather than washed out. Old English wascan, to wash — past-participle of wash. As a color modifier, washed implies a pale-and-tone-reduced quality where the hue carries the visual register of multi-decade Connecticut-laundry-line repeatedly-washed-and-faded textile color-finish. Sits at the pale-and-faded end of the grid, parallel to faded and bleached in usage.
