Wired Knossos

Old English wīr, wire — past-participle of wire. As a color modifier, wired implies a saturated-and-electrical-charged-and-active quality, the bright color of Tesla-coil-and-Van-de-Graaff high-voltage atmospheric-electrical emission. Knossos color refers to a Knossos-period Minoan purpura-dyed fresco border: a saturated, slightly cool deep violet with the matte finish of multi-bath Hexaplex trunculus shellfish dye on lime-plaster wall painting.
