Electric Ube

Etymology
From the Greek elektron, amber — the substance whose static-electric properties were observed by Thales of Miletus. Ube color refers to a freshly mashed Dioscorea alata tuber-flesh: a saturated, slightly cool deep violet with the matte finish of anthocyanin-rich starchy yam-pulp. The Tagalog name ube derives from the Cebuano ubi.
