Holographic Sabz (#B4E681) is a true lime with a cool character. It leans cool, sitting on the blue, green, and violet side of the wheel. Quiet and dependable, a fit for product UI and data visualization. Its HSL profile (90°, 67%, 70%) places it in the balanced band at a mid lightness. It works across type, buttons, and borders, saturated enough to feel deliberate but balanced enough to not fight the rest of the palette. Etymology
Greek hólos (whole) and graphé (writing) — adjectival suffix -ic. As a color modifier, holographic implies a saturated-and-multi-angle-shifting quality, the bright color of holographic-credit-card and trading-card dichroic-film 3D-image-reflection. Sits at the bright-and-shifting end of the grid, parallel to iridescent and prismatic in usage.
The Persian word for green — both as the color of foliage and as a metaphor for renewal in Persian poetry (Hafiz writes of the sabz-poosh — those clothed in green). Sabz refers to the green of fresh herbs in a Persian sabzi-khordan salad: a saturated, slightly yellow-green with the matte finish of fresh-picked greens. The Iranian cousin of green.
