Aflame Custard
Aflame Custard (#ACAD02) is a deep yellow with a jewel character. It carries the deep, saturated richness of a gemstone. Authoritative and slightly formal, it works well for type and heavy UI elements. Its HSL profile (60°, 98%, 34%) places it in the highly saturated band at a dark lightness. Best used in small doses, like logos, CTAs, focus rings, or highlight text, where its saturation becomes a feature rather than noise. Old English on-flamme, on-fire. As a color modifier, aflame implies a saturated-and-burning-bright quality, the bright color of autumn-Maple-and-Oak peak-color deciduous-foliage and Bonfire-Night large-flame fire emission. A cooked mixture of egg yolks and milk or cream — the foundational sauce of European pastry from medieval times forward. The color refers to a chilled vanilla custard or crème anglaise: a soft, slightly off-white yellow with the satiny surface of cooked egg protein.
