Alight Yew

Old English ā-lihtan, to set alight — past-participle of alight. Taxus baccata, the European yew — a long-lived conifer (some specimens over 2,000 years old) traditionally planted in English churchyards. The color refers to mature yew foliage: a deep, slightly muted very dark green with the matte finish of resin-coated needle foliage. Darker than juniper.
