Genuine Amazonite
Genuine Amazonite (#8EFDF5) is a soft cyan with a cool character. It leans cool, sitting on the blue, green, and violet side of the wheel. Latin genuinus, natural, innate — used as a color modifier since the sixteenth century for hues that read as authentic rather than imitated. Cooler than jade, warmer than cerulean, with the mineral-trade specificity of a stone named for the Amazon basin where it doesn't actually occur.
