Garish Variscite (#89BF3D) is a true lime with an earthy character. It leans grounded and natural, the kind of color that plays well with wood, clay, linen, and warm neutrals. Middle English garen, to stare — adjectival suffix -ish. Sits at the bright-and-flamboyant end of the grid, parallel to gaudy and lurid in usage.
