Mired Rubellite
Mired Rubellite (#7F1906) is a deep red with a jewel character. It carries the deep, saturated richness of a gemstone. Authoritative and slightly formal, it works well for type and heavy UI elements. Its HSL profile (9°, 91%, 26%) places it in the highly saturated band at a dark lightness. Best used in small doses, like logos, CTAs, focus rings, or highlight text, where its saturation becomes a feature rather than noise. Etymology
Old Norse mýrr, mire / bog — past-participle of mire. As a color modifier, mired implies the deep-and-stuck-and-warm-brown quality of bog-and-peat-and-marsh-mud-immersion, like a Yorkshire-Moors hiker's boots after a rainy day on the saturated peat. Sits at the deep-and-warm end of the grid, parallel to peat-stained with earthy register.
