Manic Tsavorite
Manic Tsavorite (#78A903) is a deep lime with a jewel character. It carries the deep, saturated richness of a gemstone. Authoritative and slightly formal, it works well for type and heavy UI elements. Its HSL profile (78°, 97%, 34%) places it in the highly saturated band at a dark lightness. Best used in small doses, like logos, CTAs, focus rings, or highlight text, where its saturation becomes a feature rather than noise. Etymology
Greek manikós, raving / mad — sharing root with mania. As a color modifier, manic implies a saturated-and-overstimulated-and-extreme quality, the bright color of Andy-Warhol-and-Pop-Art late-Pop-Art repeated-and-multiplied portrait color schemes. Sits at the bright-and-active end of the grid, parallel to hyper and frenetic in usage.
A green variety of grossular garnet — colored by trace vanadium and chromium, mined principally in Tanzania (named for Tsavo National Park) and Kenya. The color refers to a faceted East African tsavorite: a saturated, slightly cool deep green with the gem's signature internal life. Cooler than emerald.
