Buttoned Paraiba (#77DCFE) is a soft cyan with a cool character. It leans cool, sitting on the blue, green, and violet side of the wheel. The intensely-blue copper-bearing variety of tourmaline — discovered in 1989 in the Brazilian state of Paraíba. Paraiba tourmaline is one of the most expensive gem materials by weight. The color refers to a faceted Paraiba tourmaline: a saturated, slightly cool electric blue-green with the gem's signature internal fire.
