Kindled Gyokuro
Kindled Gyokuro (#6BECBE) is a true teal with a cool character. It leans cool, sitting on the blue, green, and violet side of the wheel. Etymology
Old Norse kynda, to set on fire — past-participle of kindle. As a color modifier, kindled implies a saturated-and-newly-lit quality, the bright color of autumn-bonfire-and-stove-fire initial-combustion emission. Sits at the bright-and-warm end of the grid, parallel to ignited and aflame in usage.
The premium Japanese green tea grown in shade for three weeks before harvest — concentrating chlorophyll and theanine. Gyokuro (玉露 — jewel dew) is the most expensive non-matcha Japanese tea.
