Old English forð-riht, straight ahead, direct. Used as a color modifier in Anglo-Saxon-revival contexts for hues that read as honest and unguarded. Edo color refers to an Edo-komon indigo-dyed cotton: a saturated, slightly cool deep blue-violet with the matte finish of fermentation-vat aizome dye on commoner cotton.
