Indomitable Celery (#4A7108) is a deep lime with a jewel character. It carries the deep, saturated richness of a gemstone. Latin indomitābilis, unconquerable — derived from domāre (to tame). As a color modifier, indomitable implies a saturated-and-unconquerable-and-fierce quality where the hue resists any attempt to subdue or modulate its presence. Apium graveolens, the marsh herb cultivated for its crisp pale-green stalks since at least the time of Homer, though the modern crunchy celery is a nineteenth-century selection. The color refers to a fresh celery rib in profile: a soft, slightly muted pale green with the optical translucency of high-water-content vegetable tissue. Lighter than pear, cooler than wheat.
