Squared Advent Verdigris

Latin quadrātus, four-sided — past-participle of square. As a color modifier, squared implies a clear-and-rectilinear-and-orthogonal quality where the hue carries the visual register of right-angle architectural-and-grid alignment. Latin adventus, arrival. As a color modifier, advent implies a December-Pre-Christmas-and-purple quality, the visual register of Roman-Catholic-and-Anglican Advent-period purple-and-pink-vestment-and-wreath-and-candle liturgical surfaces under Advent-period candlelit-purple-and-pink ecclesiastical light. The basic copper carbonate that forms on weathered copper and bronze — the pigment scraped from oxidized metal and used in Renaissance painting before being supplanted by more stable greens.
