Voluptuous Yomogi (#30910D) is a deep green with a jewel character. It carries the deep, saturated richness of a gemstone. Authoritative and slightly formal, it works well for type and heavy UI elements. Its HSL profile (104°, 84%, 31%) places it in the highly saturated band at a dark lightness. Best used in small doses, like logos, CTAs, focus rings, or highlight text, where its saturation becomes a feature rather than noise. Etymology
Latin voluptuōsus, pleasurable — derived from voluptās (pleasure). As a color modifier, voluptuous implies a saturated-and-rich-and-curving-sensual quality, the deep-rich color of Rubens-and-Boucher baroque-and-rococo flesh-and-fabric tonality. Sits at the bold-and-saturated end of the grid, parallel to lush and plush in tone.
Artemisia indica, Japanese mugwort — used in yomogi-mochi (mugwort rice cakes) and as a traditional moxibustion herb. Yomogi-iro refers to the slightly muted yellow-green of fresh mugwort leaves: a soft, slightly muted yellow-green with the matte finish of pubescent leaf surface. Drier than wakaba.
