Radiant Akoya
Radiant Akoya (#2EEBF1) is a true cyan with a neon character. It sits at the high-saturation edge of its family. Use it sparingly, as signage, accent, or highlight against darker surfaces. Its HSL profile (182°, 87%, 56%) places it in the highly saturated band at a mid lightness. Best used in small doses, like logos, CTAs, focus rings, or highlight text, where its saturation becomes a feature rather than noise. From the Latin radiare, to emit rays — used as a color word since the seventeenth century for hues that read as luminous and emitting. Akoya pearls have the iridescent pale blue-cream color characteristic of Japanese pearl tradition. The color refers to a strand of Akoya pearls: a soft, slightly cool pale blue with the iridescent satin finish of marine nacre.
