Glistening Lobelia
Glistening Lobelia (#1DBEFB) is a true cyan with a neon character. It sits at the high-saturation edge of its family. Use it sparingly, as signage, accent, or highlight against darker surfaces. Old English glisnian, to glisten — present-participle of glisten, sharing root with German glitzern. The genus Lobelia — particularly L. erinus, the common cottage-garden annual with cascading deep-blue flowers. The color refers to a fresh L. erinus in midsummer: a saturated, slightly cool deep blue with the satin finish of small bilateral flowers. Cooler than borage.
