Confident Konpeki (#106FDF) is a true azure with a neon character. It sits at the high-saturation edge of its family. Use it sparingly, as signage, accent, or highlight against darker surfaces. A late-Latin participle, confidens, trusting — borrowed into English in the sixteenth century. Japanese konpeki (紺碧) — the saturated deep azure of clear ocean and sky. The compound combines kon (deep blue) and heki (jade-blue), naming a color deeper than aozora and brighter than ruri.
